Concealed Carry Training Class

This class covers mental preparation to carry a gun, avoiding victimization, de-escalation techniques, and developing shooting skills which are invaluable to anyone planning on carrying a gun. A concealed carry license is not required in Arkansas, but if you would like the Enhanced Concealed Carry License, this class includes the training required and is only a 1-day class. There are pros and cons to getting your license, and this class is the best first step for anyone planning to carry concealed or open with or without a license.

We offer the concealed carry training class on the 3rd Saturday of each month. Arkansas State Police Instructor Registration Number 22-1542. In addition, any individuals, groups, churches, clubs, or families who prefer to have a private concealed carry class can schedule directly with our office upon request. Call 870-614-8452.

You can get both the basic and enhanced license training done in 1 day or upgrade from a basic license to the enhanced one.

What to Bring for Concealed Carry Classes: 

• Semi-auto pistol of your choice (with enough magazines to have 20 rounds loaded at the same time)
• 50 rounds of ammunition for the Enhanced License (if you do not plan to apply for a concealed carry license the shooting portion is not required but highly suggested)
• Holster and mag pouches are suggested but not required
• Eye and ear protection
• Government Photo ID
• Appropriate clothing (the qualifications will be outside typically in the afternoon)
• Sack Lunch or Country Crossroads does have lunch items & is close to the range
• Snacks and Drinks

Weather and the Class: 

Cancellation Policy:

• Cancellations received more than 24 hours before the Session start time will receive a free full Session cost transfer credit that can be used towards any Session we offer within 1 year.
• Cancellations received with less than 24 hours, but before the Session start time receives 50% of the Session cost as transfer credit towards any Session we offer within 1 year.
• Any ‘No Call-No Shows’ at the start time of the Session are not eligible for a refund or Session credit.
• Independence Firearms and Training holds Session regardless of the weather unless it is unsafe but reserves the right to cancel or reschedule Sessions at anytime. Students will be offered a rescheduled Session date or a full refund for the Session payment if a Session is canceled or rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
